Parameters

dictionary  DictionaryTKey, TValue
The dictionary.
key  TKey
The key to lookup.

Type Parameters

TKey
The type of the key.
TValue
The type of the value.

Return Value

TValue
The value from the dictionary, or the default value of TValue if no item with the specified key exists.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type DictionaryTKey, TValue. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter.
